Dallas Hosts Miss Black Texas USA Pageant

Sept. 19, 2012 - PRLog -- For the first time in 10 years the Miss Black Texas USA Pageant will be held in a different city than its home base in Houston, TX. The Dallas area will host the pageant that features young ladies from across Texas for the coveted Texas titles at the Granville Arts Center in Garland, Texas during the weekend of September 22-23, 2012. The reigning Miss Black Texas USA Talented Teen Lauren Clemons, Miss Black Texas Preteen Camryn Ned, Ms. Black Texas USA D’Antrese McNeil, and Miss Black Texas USA Princess Rajah Baldwin will be on hand to crown their successors.
The competition begins on Saturday, September 22, 2012, when contestants compete in the Miss Black Texas USA private interview competition. Following that competition is the Miss Black Texas USA Talent Competition that is open to the public at 3pm. The Miss Black Texas USA Final Show and crowning event is Sunday, September 23, 2012, at 3:00 p.m., where former Miss Black USA 2011 Ocielia Gibson will emcee. All pageant events will be held at the Granville Arts Center.
The winners of the most coveted titles, Miss Black Texas USA and Miss Black Texas USA Talented Teen, will go on to represent Texas on the national stage at the Miss Black USA and Miss Black USA Talented Teen Pageants in the summer of 2013 for a chance to win a prize package worth $20,000 and $5,000, respectively. In addition to the scholarships that every newly crowned queen will receive, Miss Black Texas USA is proud to announce that Miss Black Texas USA Talented Teen 2013 will also received a full scholarship to Paul Quinn College.
