GPS presents European granulation, drying, tableting and fermentation technology at CHINA-PHARM 2012

PRLog (Press Release) - Sep. 19, 2012 - Exhibits on stand number 3017 will include examples of the company’s range of Aeromatic-Fielder™ and Collette™ granulation and drying plant; MODUL™ tablet presses from Courtoy™; and pharmaceutical fermentation systems from GEA Diessel showing state-of-the-art technology for a bioreactor vessel.  

On 25 September the company will present a technical seminar covering three subjects of interest to all those involved in pharmaceutical processing.

Granulation and Coating Multi-Processor and High Containment Solution
The exhibits will include an Aeromatic-Fielder™ MP-3/4 fluid bed processor, high containment BUCK® MC split valves and disposable Hicoflex™ bag system.  Both represent the industry standard in performance and reliability and are examples of how the company uses its proven technology blended with innovation to meet the needs of individual applications.

Tablet compression
The stand will include a high-containment MODUL™ S tablet press featuring the ECM concept – the leading technology for high-containment tableting – with high productivity, and offering fast change-over in just 30 minutes.  The machine on display has been assembled locally to GEA’s exacting European standards specifically to meet the needs of the local market and provide the best possible price-performance balance.

Pharmaceutical fermentation
GEA Diessel will show its latest fermenter vessel that demonstrates the current technology for connecting transfer and sampling lines in various disposable, as well as stainless steel designs. The design is free from dead legs making it ideal for sterile operations; provides total control of operating parameters such as temperature, agitation, pO2, etc; and uses the latest components.  GEA Diessel fermentation systems are available in single-stage and multi-stage configurations to processing from 10 to 30,000 litres.

GEA Pharma Systems’ seminar at CHINA-PHARM
On the 25 September, GEA has organised a technology seminar at China National Convention Center, Beijing China E232A.

The following subjects will be covered:

•   10.30 - 12.15 – Bioreactor and fermenter design based on application requirements.
•   13.30 - 14.45 - GEA New technology on solid dosage form - Pelletization / Dry powder inhalation / Continuous powder blending.
•   15.00 - 16.45 - Cutting costs in your tablet production: by drastically improving on Overall Equipment Efficiency.
