About Bin Zhou
Dr. Bin Zhou is a Senior Consultant of The Brattle Group’s Finance Practice, with over ten years of consulting experience in financial institutions, utilities / energy, and pharmaceutical industries. Dr. Zhou is a valuation expert with extensive experience in complex valuation assignments involving evolving risk characteristics, varying operational and financial leverage, and special tax effects. He has served as a consulting expert in several high-profile securities, bankruptcy, and damages litigation matters, and supported academic experts in various stages of the litigation. His recent experience includes valuation and solvency analyses for several failed leveraged buyout transactions, litigation involving tax treatments of losses on credit default swaps in Ambac’s bankruptcy, and economic analysis of the SEC’s proposed regulations on U.S. money market mutual funds. Dr. Zhou received his Ph.D. from Brandeis University.
