The ecoHOME program (http://buildecohome.com)
"Getting ecoHOME up and running has been a team effort from a lot of people here. We are proud of what this program is already accomplishing,"
So far, 13 builders representing close to 600 new homes a year have committed to the ecoHOME program, and nine of those builders have already completed 133 ecoHOME Qualified Homes. Southern Energy Management initially rolled out the program as a beta test for a handful of clients before officially launching ecoHOME in July.
"We immediately saw the value in the ecoHOME program, and it didn't take long for us to sign on. It's something that homeowners are able to grasp quickly," said Ned Johnson, Purchasing Manager at H&H Homes. "And as a builder, the flexibility of this program helps us build homes in the best way to achieve energy efficiency benchmarks and effectively differentiate our product in the marketplace."
