Director Danny Rhodes to team with Willow Road Entertainment on the horror feature, 'Released.'

PRLog (Press Release) - Sep. 17, 2012 - Chicago, Illinois--Horror director Danny Rhodes has been recently attached to direct the film, which is set to go into production in early 2013. "Released" is the first installment of many to come; the sequel is currently in development.

“Released” aims to subvert the iconic “Halloween” and “Friday the 13th” franchises with its female antagonist and its dash of supernatural themes evocative of the current box office champ, “The Possession.” Rhodes has previously served as writer and producer of the web series, “Bad Sides,” and has acted in a number of acclaimed indies including “Audrey the Trainwreck,” “Blackmail Boys” and “Nate & Margaret.” It was Rhodes’s rough cut of his upcoming horror short, “He Ain’t Heavy,” that garnered him the attention of producers and ultimately landed him the directing job.

"Released" will be produced by Teresa Schaeffer, Emily Vajda and Danny Rhodes, along with Willow Road Entertainment and Rhodesclosed Productions. Brian Levin ("Cyrus: Mind of a Serial Killer") is attached as Director of Photography. Casting will begin fall 2012.
