During the ceremony, ARISE received grant funding to video tape two additional days of its Transformational Anger and Stress Management program for staff titled “Drop it at the Door”. This money will make it possible to produce an online version of ARISE’s aggression replacement training for juvenile justice staff who are no longer able to travel to ARISE workshops due to severe budget restrictions. The Rotary Club of Key Biscayne grants funds to various nonprofit organizations. The club raises the funds through its annual Arts Festival. Robert Brookes, a longtime member of the club, admits that organizing the Arts Festival and funding grants is challenging, but the payoff is well worth the effort. For over 25 years, ARISE has provided valuable life skills training and materials to Juvenile Justice Systems, alternative schools, charities and other organizations that care for at-risk youth and teens. The new ARISE Drop it at the Door online training program will allow participants who are unable to travel to onsite training because of funding cuts, to receive this on line training at their office or in the comfort of their own home. Below is a link and preview to what a participant will learn from ARISE Drop it at the Door Training. ARISE Foundation was founded in 1986 by Susan and Edmund Benson. These highly-acclaimed ARISE workshops teach those that work with at-risk youth how to deliver valuable life skills to the children and teens under their care. This is priceless information that in many cases avoids youth being caught up in the juvenile justice system.
