Floyd Mitchell, Chairman and Co-Founder says, “The organization remains rooted in the values of ‘The Fund,’ but as we begin to expand our reach, we feel our name must reflect our expansion and impact on the greater community.”
With the addition of the name change, the Tripod Foundation Inc. has also redesigned their logo. William Polk, Marketing Committee Chair spearheaded the logo design change. William says, “We wanted a logo that was in tune with our past vision, but that also had a slight update. The logo represents our belief that through the pursuit of education, the world will become accessible and attainable to those who seek it."
Lloyd Freeman, Esq, former Chairman and Co-Founder summarizes the name change by stating, “The mission of our non-profit has always been centered upon three tenets: scholarship, leadership and fellowship. By changing the name to the Tripod Foundation Inc., we are able to better communicate those ideals that are the core of the organization. As well, I believe the new name and rebranding strategy will expand the reach of our non-profit, allowing us to serve more youth pursuing an education.”
The Tripod Foundation Inc. is excited about this upcoming year and will be moving the organization forward with the launch of the new website, more community programs and lots of other exciting events.
