The Gulf Ridge Council serves the youth of Citrus, Hardee, Hernando, Highlands, Hillsborough, Pasco, Polk, and Sumter counties and supports more than 22,000 young people in more than 550 units. The Council operates three camps for outdoor activities, one in Odessa, a second in Lithia and the third east of Lake Wales. The Mission of the Gulf Ridge Council, Boy Scouts of America, is to serve others by helping to instill values in young people and to prepare them to make ethical choices during their lifetime in achieving their full potential.
Mr. Lafferty is a former federal prosecutor, having worked as an Assistant United States Attorney (AUSA) in Tampa for ten years, and proactively represents organizational and individual clients in federal and state governmental investigations and proceedings involving all aspects of regulatory enforcement matters. His practice includes white collar criminal defense, grand jury investigations, subpoenas, search warrants, internal investigations, parallel civil and administrative litigation, arbitration and mediation, corporate compliance plans, voluntary disclosures and deferred prosecution agreements, independent corporate monitoring and business torts litigation including fraud and civil theft. Mr. Lafferty received his B.A. from the University of Florida and his J.D., cum laude, from Stetson University College of Law. Mr. Lafferty has also earned Graduate Certificates in Healthcare Corporate Compliance from George Washington University and Health Management and Leadership from the University of South Florida.
