LINQ Programme Update: Selected Papers and Projects Announced

The 1st European Conference LINQ 2012 on "Learning Innovations and Quality" has announced the accepted papers and presentations from its call for papers earlier this year.

Sept. 17, 2012 - PRLog -- The 1st European Conference LINQ 2012 on "Learning Innovations and Quality" has announced the accepted papers and presentations from its call for papers earlier this year. Dozens of applicants from over 15 countries have submitted their work in order to take part in the dialogue at LINQ 2012 concerning Lifelong Learning (LLL), Technology-Enhanced Learning (TEL), quality standards and certification, human resources development, competences and skills, as well as learning, innovation and quality management systems. “We are greatly encouraged by the amount of high-quality submissions which we received for LINQ,” says Christian M. Stracke, Chair of Technical Committee 353 concerning Information and Communication Technologies for LET at the European Committee for Standardization, ISO Convener, and LINQ Conference Chair. “The academic and scientific interests and approaches we have seen in the submissions promise a good basis for further discussion at the conference this October.”

A new version of the conference programme has been released in which the schedule of the selected submissions is available. The selected paper authors and representatives of European research projects will present their work in a series of parallel sessions after the LINQ keynote speakers contribute to the conference’s context of learning innovations and quality earlier in the day. Godelieve van den Brande, policy officer for ICT and Innovations in Learning at the Directorate General of Education and Culture for the European Commission, will share his visions of future innovations in the areas of Learning, Education and Training (LET) and in doing so discuss the potential for common European progress. Sophie Weisswange, representing the Directorate General of Education and Culture’s efforts regarding quality assurance for VET, will discuss the implications of learning quality for current and future European development in the fields of Lifelong Learning (LLL) and Technology-Enhanced Learning (TEL).

All experts from Learning, Education and Training (LET) are invited to join in our dialogue on Innovations and Quality in Learning, Education and Training (LET). Registration for the event is open until the 30th of September, however seats are limited and are available on a first come, first serve basis.

Attendance at the European conference "Learning Innovations and Quality" (LINQ 2012) is subject to a fee (70 €) and requires online registration as places are limited. The conference fee includes all provisions including a warm 3-course lunch, two coffee breaks, the conference bag and the official conference proceedings.

A call for papers in connection with LINQ 2012 was launched and has been finished now by the review of the submissions through the scientific Programme Committee. All authors of the accepted papers has been informed now and their articles will be published in the official proceedings of the European Conference (with ISBN) and distributed to all conference participants and across all of Europe.
