Dr. Stephanie Singleton of Southeastern Fertility Center to Speak on Fertility

Sept. 17, 2012 - PRLog -- Dr. Stephanie Singleton of Southeastern Fertility Center will be speaking to the Charleston Chapter of the SC Society of Medical Assistants on September 22nd.  Her focus will be Conception and Fertility 101.    
Dr. Singleton is a reproductive endocrinologist at Southeastern Fertility Center.  She is board certified in both reproductive endocrinology and infertility and in obstetrics and gynecology. She is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr. Singleton originally earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Presbyterian College of Clinton, South Carolina followed by a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Georgia Baptist College of Nursing of Atlanta, Georgia. She then earned a Doctor of Medicine degree at Mercer University School of Medicine before completing a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Tennessee. Finally, Dr. Singleton completed her fellowship training in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at The Jones Institute for Reproductive Medicine, Norfolk, Virginia, known for producing the first successful in vitro fertilization pregnancy in the United States.
During her fellowship Dr. Singleton conducted research in the area of male factor infertility and uterine cavity evaluation. She was awarded The Endocrine Fellows Foundation Research Grant for her pursuit of research in male factor infertility and her research was published in peer review medical journals to include Human Reproduction and Reproduction, Fertility and Development.
To follow her fellowship training, Dr. Singleton practiced in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina at Southeastern Fertility Center and served on the faculty at the Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston, South Carolina. She moved to Georgia in 2008 where she developed a busy and successful following at Georgia Reproductive Specialists of Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Singleton is a native of Georgia, but is excited to return to the low country and to Southeastern Fertility Center. Her interests include in vitro fertilization therapy, polycystic ovarian syndrome, amenorrhea and male factor infertility.
