In this position, Shane will continue to develop a growing cloud infrastructure services division. He expects that the hybrid cloud services will grow at a rapid rate as more and more companies seek the benefits of collocating hardware within a physically secure environment mixed with the cost-effectiveness and flexibility benefits of virtualization within a public cloud.
Shane has more than 15 years of experience in IT management, solution architecture, consulting, design and delivery. He has served customers in many sectors ranging from enterprise to education, always providing exceptional value and outstanding results. As a graduate of Southwest Texas State University, Shane joined Dell as a Linux Systems Engineer and enjoyed challenge and satisfaction of ensuring Red Hat Linux performed perfectly across the entire line of PowerEdge Servers. It was here that he first discovered virtualization and VMware as a beta tester for VMware workstation.
Moving on to an Information Technology role at RW3 Inc., Shane enjoyed progressing to senior director of IT over his 10 year tenure. There he completely re-tooled RW3's infrastructure, designing and delivering one of the first completely virtualized datacenter solutions in Austin, TX. His efforts resulted in enterprise level uptimes and system reliability while adhering to the constraints of an SMB budget.
“Shane’s experience and expertise will ensure solid growth for Core NAP within the cloud services market,” said Kenneth Smith, president and CEO of Core NAP. “We look forward to expanding our market share, building the Core NAP brand and helping customers more efficiently provide strategic infrastructure.”
