Ottawa Company Taking Inventory Management to the Cloud

Cyber Stockroom launches web-based inventory management software

Sept. 17, 2012 - PRLog -- Cyber-Stockroom, an Ottawa based software company, has launched a cloud-computing inventory management system aimed at small businesses. The Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution allows businesses to maintain and update their inventory online from any computer without having to download any software or data.

Over the past several years, cloud-computing has swept through the digital world turning traditional software models on their head. SaaS models allow users to interact with a ‘thin client’ website while keeping all the computationally intensive work online on another server. This software model was mostly popularized by companies offering client management and project management systems.

Cyber-Stockroom president Emad Hanna sees this model as a perfect channel for inventory management. “Traditional inventory control software is usually pretty brittle and requires a lot of configuration on the user’s side. The alternative that we provide essentially hides all the technicalities and the complexities of the software from the user and gives them a user-friendly access point so they can easily interact with their inventory”.

The company offers a free trial for their different packages on their website http://www.cyberstockroom.com
