SYNOPSIS:    Uncouth tycoon Harry Brock goes to Washington, D.C. with his brassy mistress, Emma 'Billie' Dawn, and his crooked lawyer, Jim Devery to "influence" a politician or two.  The lawyer presses Harry to marry Billie on the grounds that a wife cannot testify against her husband.  Dissatisfied with Billie’s ignorance and lack of manners, Harry hires a tutor, journalist Paul Verrall, to school and finesse BIllie.  Blossoming under Paul's encouragement, Billie turns out to be much smarter than anybody realized and begins thinking for herself.

SEEKING:

1 woman, mid 20s-early 30s (Billie Dawn) - An ex-chorus girl who is beautiful but her mind is a blank. At heart she is funny, kind and simple. Brooklyn accent.

1 man, 30s (Paul Verrall) - A personable, intelligent, nice looking, and energetic reporter hired to tutor Billie Dawn

1 man, 35-50 (Eddie Brock) - Harry’s cousin and stooge. Uneducated, but expressive.  Brooklyn accent.

1 man, 35-50 (Ed Devery) - A once promising, now corrupt lawyer who quiets his conscience with alcohol.

1 man, 40s-50s (Harry Brock) - An over-bearing, no-nonsense, rude thug who is also a successful business man.  Brooklyn accent.

1 man, 60s-75 (Sen. Hedges) - A pleasant, but worried, pale and worn corrupt senator. He looks like a great man, but isn’t.

1 woman, 45-60s (Mrs. Hedges/Helen)  - A socially graceful woman who is the perfect Congressional wife. Doubles as a cynical maid.
