Poll shows Jeffco school tax and union unpopular with voters

Preliminary data shows Jefferson County School tax proposal and teachers union as ballot box losers.

Sept. 18, 2012 - PRLog -- Jefferson County, CO,  Parent Led Reform says non-partisan survey results show disfavor with voters regarding proposed Jeffco Bond and mil. Only 36% of respondents indicated they would vote in favor in the $99 million bond, and 33% said they were in favor of the mil.

“We have heard from community members in Jefferson County that they are greatly concerned with the school district’s management of current fiscal revenues,” says Karin Piper, Parent Led Reform’s state director. The same data shows a 39% approval rating for Jefferson County School District.

In addition, merely 36% of survey respondents hold the opinion that, in general, teachers unions improve education.

Margin of error is 3.57.
