New Yorker of the Week - "Best Salon in the World" Owner: Rodolfo Valentin

Sept. 19, 2012 - PRLog -- "New Yorker of the Week" named celebrity hair stylist Rodolfo Valentin by NY 1 television. As featured by John Schiumo from New York 1 television channel in his report, being afflicted with cancer can take its toll in so many facets of one’s life. The latest New Yorker of the Week, Rodolfo Valentin, is sharing his expertise in one very important aspect in coping up with this devastating disease – HAIR.  His passion led him to lend his helping hand to people affected with cancer, especially women, by creating custom made wigs that made a lot of them have smiles on their lips.

After a year in the university, Rodolfo Valentin was learning to turn out to be a surgeon. After rethinking about how long will take to be doctor then to practice as a resident, he decided it will be too much. Rodolfo Valentin of Madison Avenue decided to stop medicine course, and in its place went ahead with the beauty industry that always has fascinated him. He gave up medicine but continued with his wish to make individuals feel and look better.

Rodolfo Valentin has a passion for hair. He says that hair gives the opportunity of plentiful creation. He does not care if they pay or not. The compensation for him is the smile in the mirror that matters. Hair is for him not limited to styling but helping his mother fight breast cancer while he watched its control to make good.

After a few chemotherapy treatments the hair vanished. She got very distressed and Rodolfo alleged, “Do not fear, they will reenact your breasts”. Her mother said, 'It is not my disfigurement, it is not my breasts. My deformity is my hair”.

Rodolfo Valentin rushed to make a wig to his mother feeling exasperated for not having enough materials; was then that he made a silk cap where he attached crocheted hair, to achieve his mother's hair color, he used tea. The final result was some kind of okay, just enough to restore her dignity. To duplicate her hair color was not a problem.

"She was so pleased, he said, and it was when she added ‘You have to promise me that you will do this for the maximum persons you can”. Rodolfo Valentin has preserved his word and currently, he contributes with wigs and Hair Prosthesis to females undergoing hair loss due to chemotherapy, like Kayla Trolle.

Kayla was in a coma and when she had woken up understood what had occurred, that she had had this enormous heart letdown. Kayla was capable to reach her head even with all the pipes and IVs and felt the back of her head. She recalls touching her head and realizing that it was thorough bare specially right in the medium of her head. She just started crying. As she says she was truly, really desperate.

Harboring Hearts, a charity organization referred Kayla Trolle to Rodolfo Valentin. Knowing his great heart, and now, about a year following her heart transplant, Kayla is getting new locks from Rodolfo Valentin, owner of  the best salon in the world..
