Pastor Jody Davila and her husband of 30 years, Pastor Jose founded Remnant Seed Ministries in Port Charlotte, Florida in 2000 in their living room. They opened Remnant Seed Worship Center in 2001 with the desire to teach about the Tabernacle of David via 24/7 worship and intercession. A major part of every worship service at Remnant Seed consisted of ministering to the Lord through high, holy prophetic worship. Jody’s spiritual burden is to see the Bride of Christ restored through love, acceptance and the truth of His Word. Her heart’s cry is to see whosoever will be saved and living the abundant spiritual life that Jesus died to give us all. She desires to see those who have been spiritually wounded, healed and restored.
She also pioneered the Remnant Seed food pantry that served 400 plus people per month. The ministry reached out to the community with their Big Green Truck by taking it to local parks and also holiday giving. As a preacher/teacher, Pastor Jody shared the Word in depth and with simplicity. She ministered with a prophetic anointing that removed burdens and destroyed yokes, always bringing a Word of exhortation, edification and comfort. The worship center was closed suddenly and it appeared that ministry was on hold when Jody found a small lump on her side. After getting a biopsy she was found to have stage 4 breast cancer that quickly metastasized to her hip and back. Surgery came first to remove the cancer. Then, after receiving chemo and radiation, she needed a hip replacement where the cancer and radiation had damaged the area greatly.
The doctor in her hometown was concerned about doing such delicate surgery so he took pictures with his own cell phone and sent them to a friend in Tampa. Miraculously, this Dr. in Tampa accepted Jody’s case. She later found out that he did surgery on Evil Knievel letting her know that God gave her the best, again. This took place in the year 2010.
Jody continued to love God and share love with people around her. Every nurse or therapy worker she had in the hospital was amazed at the peace and joy she had regardless of all the pain she experienced. Recently she had a terrible infection in her hip. This required an emergency surgery where they hoped to scrape the infection. However, once they opened up the area, they realized they had to remove the entire apparatus. The hardware was covered with infection. To her surprise, Jody woke up in the critical care unit with tubes everywhere. She found out she had lost so much blood that they had to give her 8 units.
"Many came to the hospital to pray for her and one of those called by God came all the way from Los Angeles, and her name is Candace Chambers-Belida."
Hear Jody’s miraculous journey that is not over yet. Hear how during each step, the people she encountered were ministered to by her even though she was the patient. Hear how she made the choice not to allow the enemy to make her feel like a victim but to continue to be a minister of the Most High God. This is truly proof of the truth in the saying: when you can’t trace Him, you must trust Him.
