Sept. 14, 2012 - PRLog -- 15th Annual 101A/B ATA Taekwondo Championship Tournament

Little Rock, AR- Saturday, October 6, 2012 is the 15th Annual 101A/B Regional ATA Championship Tournament hosted by Chief Master Richard E. Anderson. He is  the Highest Ever African American ranked "Chief Master" in the 40 years history of the ATA, WTTU/STF organizations & the pulse behind "Camp Positive".  He has been involved with Taekwondo &  the ATA for over 40 years.

Chief Master Anderson has dedicated his life to helping inner city youth. "Camp Positive" is a program that reaches out to children from all walks of life.  His school is mainly students who come from single parent homes, raised by grandparents or guardians with little or no income.  He provides them with a positive path to gain self confidence in themselves & a stable support system in their lives.  He does this by implementing the well known motto of "Each One, Teach One".  He also believes "It Takes A Village To Raise A Child".  Chief Master Anderson and the instructors at Anderson's Taekwondo Center (ATC) reach out to the children, youth or family and give them individuals life lessons.  These individuals are then able AND willing to teach other children, youth &  those around them that there is a positive alternative than the streets. Special thanks goes to Steve Landers, Sr., Steve Landers, Jr. and Scott Landers for letting us have a place (FREE of Charge!) to set up our Taekwondo Center and continue  teaching our inner city youth. We are located in the Landers PreOwn Parking Lot in the building behind the dealership showroom on 5909 S. University Avenue, Little Rock, AR  72209.

Chief Master Anderson and his staff specializes in "at risk" youth.  That is any child with discipline, attention, self-esteem or low school achievement problems.  Chief Master Anderson teaches discipline through Taekwondo and he stresses the importance of academic achievement by encouraging good grades and a "Yes I Can" mindset. Not only are we concerned with a child graduating from high school but setting our sites on seeing the students graduate from college and becoming an active contributor to society and their community.   The Regional ATA Championship Tournament will be held at the University of Arkansas in Little Rock, Donaghey Student Center Gymnasium. Door will open at 7:00 am. Opening Ceremony will start at 9:30 am.

Spectator Fee: $7.00 (3 and under FREE).
