The Winter Weather Preview, first presented in to a select New York City group in August,
is now available to everyone as a webinar. The live webinar will present the latest information from Weather Briefings meteorologists and allow participants to ask questions.
New York City, September 14, 2012: Weather Briefings, Inc. released its Winter Weather Preview to a select group in New York City in August and is now making it available as a webinar. The webinar will be presented on Tuesday, September 18 at Noon CDT; Wednesday, September 19 at 3pm CDT; and Thursday, September 20 at 10am CDT.
This winter’s weather will be dominated by several ocean currents including El Nino. There are already indications of extreme weather with temperatures through the end of September at least 15 degrees above normal along the Pacific coast.
“The Great Plains drought will see a little extra moisture this winter,” according to Weather Briefings meteorologist Chris Orr, “although it might not be enough to completely reverse the drought conditions.”
Orr says participants in the Winter Weather Preview webinar will also get updated outlooks throughout the winter. “This webinar will be especially useful to those working in the weather derivatives markets, commodity traders, power utilities, snow plow companies, construction and investment managers,” according to Orr, who is a Certified Consulting Meteorologist.
The webinar costs $35 per person and space is limited to just 100 participants each day.
Weather Briefings will also be hosting live sessions in Chicago, Los Angeles and Portland, Oregon later this month. The detailed winter outlook will be presented in Washington D.C. and New York City in early October.
