Nurses were the driving power behind the design of a new pill box for Arizona Seniors. The American Hospital Association says, "1 in 10 hospital stays is the direct result of people forget to take their medication on as needed." The shocking results lead to over 125,000 deaths per year(The Journal of Applied Research Dec 2011).. Historically Pill boxes are not programmable and are nothing more than a pill organizer. Users need a audible and visual reminder so they don't forget to take their medication. Nurses all agreed that they need a new type of Pill box to help ensure their Health and Quality of Life. MED-Q is a new medication reminder that takes on the problem of medical Non-Compliance. The users program the pill box and it does the rest. Flashing and Beeping reminders is the MED-Q's solution
