Reviewing National Plug-In Day With Nissan LEAF And Others

Sept. 26, 2012 - PRLog -- Car dealers and EV enthusiasts all across the nation participated in National Plug-In Day on Sunday, September 23rd.  In total, around 65 cities took part in the event.  Certain cities such as El Segundo, California held test drive sessions while other cities had contests encouraging drivers to show off their EV inventions.  According to Plug-In America, the number of participants was in the tens of thousands.

Among the EVs on display, the Nissan LEAF, Chevrolet Volt, Mitsubishi i-MIEV, Toyota Prius and other electric car models paraded the streets.  Certain curious onlookers were delighted with custom EV cars, and in some cases an all-electric delivery truck that was showcased in Times Square.  More specifically, Coca-Cola rolled out their version of an EV delivery truck.  

As consumers become more aware of the advanced technology and capabilities of what an EV can offer, National Plug-In Day will surely grow into an even bigger event in the coming years, hopefully drawing on even more cities to host bigger events, showcase new EV models and homemade inventors creative brainpower to their own EV.
