Carbon County Chamber of Commerce Web Site to Undergo Extensive Makeover

PRLog (Press Release) - Sep. 14, 2012 - Carbon County, PA -Change is in the air for the Carbon County Chamber of Commerce as their leadership and membership join together to implement a new and innovative direction for its future. Dawn Ferrante, Carbon County Economic Development Director & Chairperson of the Carbon County Chamber of Commerce, states, “Our mission will be to aggressively focus on the importance of growing a strong Chamber that is a comprehensive business and networking resource for our valued members as well as a collective effort to promote positive change and growth in our county. Our new campaign,“Strength in Numbers,” will initiate a total brand makeover for our Chamber and will include our logo, collateral materials and most importantly our web site.”

The proposed new web site, which will be a portal to local area businesses, will continue to reside at http://carboncountypa.org. Patricia Handwerk, proprietor of the Harry Packer Mansion and Vice Chairperson of the Carbon County Chamber of Commerce, says, “Our new web site will serve as a robust, informational and interactive resource tool for both businesses and consumers and will be bold, more visually appealing and user-friendly. It will enable visitors to learn everything that they need to know about the Chamber, Carbon County living and attractions, local businesses and their promotions, community events and more, in one, convenient place.” Visitors will also enjoy many new features of the site, including pages dedicated to community savings, chamber events, member business search, member sign up, event photo galleries, videos and online payments. Furthermore, Chamber members can take advantage of this FREE benefit of membership by obtaining an account, building their business profile with live links to their own web site/direct contact information, and individually posting and managing their events and money-saving coupons in real-time. Heather McClure, Administrative Assistant of the Carbon County Chamber of Commerce adds, “Our members will also benefit by their increased exposure on our web site. We will be using various strategies to increase our web site traffic and search engine rankings; one of which is to heavily advertise our new site to current and prospective members, visitors, residents and even businesses looking to relocate to Carbon County.”
