Donna Summer Continues to Inspire a Generation of Success Seekers

She was able to create a very successful life for herself despite her humble beginnings. The world mourned when she lost her battle with lung cancer in May of this year. But though she is gone, her life still stands as a testament to her amazing attitude and determination to succeed and as an inspiration to all those who would follow in her footsteps and overcome their own personal circumstances that keep them from their dreams.

Donna Summer had her first big hit, “Love to Love You Baby”, was released in 1975 and started her journey and reign as the “Disco Queen”. She was the first artist to ever get three consecutive double albums reach number one on the Billboard charts in the U.S.

She was undoubtedly a huge influence on the disco era of music and she worked with many big names in the business, including Steely Dan, Giorgio Morodor, Pete Bellotte , Quincy Jones and David Bowie just to name a few. Altogether, the Queen of Disco released a ground breaking 17 albums in her lifetime.  

But what is so inspiring about Donna Summer and the life that she lived is that, regardless of success or failures, she continued to press on towards her dreams and goals. She had the determination and tenacity to never quit, and this is a quality that many people strive to emulate in their own lives.
