RecruitMilitary and AMVETS Launch Veteran Hiring Partnership

Sept. 13, 2012 - PRLog -- CINCINNATI, OH – The military-to-civilian recruitment firm RecruitMilitary and AMVETS announced today an official partnership to support active military, veterans, and their families. The partnership will provide employment resources including career hiring events, websites, job-search platforms, and print and electronic media.

This platform will appear as an AMVETS page at www.recruitmilitary.com/AMVETS and will include job search; free veteran access to Resume Best Practices, the RecruitMilitary resume writing guide; and employer and job-seeker links. In addition, RecruitMilitary will place an AMVETS logo and link on its website, and AMVETS will place a RecruitMilitary logo and link on its website (http://www.amvets.org).

In select cities, AMVETS will also promote and participate in Hiring Our Heroes/RecruitMilitary Veteran Opportunity Expos, hiring events produced by RecruitMilitary in collaboration with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce (http://www.uschamber.com). These events are job fairs that are enhanced to include franchisors and educational institutions, in addition to employers. From 2006 through 2012, RecruitMilitary will have produced more than 420 Expos in over 50 cities.

RecruitMilitary will advertise in American Veteran, AMVETS’ flagship membership publication with a quarterly distribution of 200,000; and AMVETS will advertise in RecruitMilitary’s electronic jobs newsletter, The VetTen; and in Search & Employ®, a bimonthly magazine published by RecruitMilitary. RecruitMilitary distributes more than 38,000 copies of each issue of the magazine to over 220 military bases throughout the world, National Guard and reserve forces, and job seekers who attend its Expos.
