The networks are designed to support video and data transmission of on-street traffic signal control and CCTV systems managed by the Transport Department, including 1) transmission of data between on-street traffic signal controllers and related equipment and traffic control centers, and also between traffic control centers; 2) transmission of CCTV images between on-street CCTV cameras and traffic control centers, and also between traffic control centers; and 3) transmission of data between equipment and workstations accommodated at various locations for traffic control and monitoring, and office automation applications.
