AlphaOne Hosts Successful Open Cooking Contest As Part of India’s Largest Food Travelogue

Sept. 13, 2012 - PRLog -- AlphaOne, Ahmedabad hosted an Open Cooking Contest in the first half of September as part of the India Largest Food Travelogue, ‘Roti Raasta Aur India’, to choose the Best Gujrati Dish. This was done in association with India’s first Food & Lifestyle channel, FoodFood Channel. The FoodFood Channel is a joint venture between Malaysia’s leading cross-media group, Astro All Asia Networks PLC (Astro), Celebrity Chef, Sanjeev Kapoor & Moage consultants. The flag-off for the unique travelogue show was scheduled from Delhi.

AlphaOne invited all Amdavadis to participate in the Open Cooking Contest by bringing their Special Gujarati dish to AlphaOne on and the two visiting celebrity chefs from the Travelogue then chose the best three dishes. In the open cooking contest the visiting chefs, Chef Saransh Goila and Chef Harpal Singh Sokhi judged the best recipe at AlphaOne, and gave prizes to the eventual winners.

The first episode of the travelogue ‘Roti Raasta Aur India’, was aired on FoodFood Channel on August 24, 2012. The travelogue will be covering various regions of Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and West Bengal, thereby showing India’s unique cuisines and diverse, lip-smacking flavours.
