After learning that the previously published book was seeing unreported success through a network of church goers in Texas and aging business customers in a retirement community in Arizona, co-author Howard Clarke decided to give the little cancer book a re-do through Western Gate Books. "I was touched that my son, a businessman in Arizona, was giving copies of the books to customers," says co-author Howard F. Clarke, "whenever they found out someone had cancer. But I was also saddened that I had retired the book because of poor sales and because I did not have the feedback my son had." Howard does admit that he had had some uplifting anecdotes from his father-in-law who reported warm responses from church goers in Lubbock, Texas who benefited and were comforted by reading the book when cancer entered their lives. What the readers discover, Howard says, is that "When Cancer Comes Your Way" offers medical, spiritual, and even job- and insurance-related points that help when the devastating diagnosis presents itself. "But the key to this book," he adds, "is the struggle I faced and each person faces on the spiritual, the most human, levels when diagnosed with cancer. There are times when it's just you and God. And sometimes God is very quiet. It's a time of testing." "When Cancer Comes Your Way" the Second Edition is available through Amazon.com at a reduced price. (http://www.amazon.com/ End
