Follow on Google News | Colorado Movie To Be Shown As A Fund Raiser For Denver Based Water For People"Did I Say Thousand Island?" the indie movie shot in Summit County that has been seen in 187 countries, will be shown at The Bug Theatre on September 22nd as a fund raiser for Water For People.
By: Remake 4 Water The writer/director/ September 22nd marks the 6 month point of World Water Day which always falls on March 22. DiVita thought it would be a good idea to show the movie then, and have proceeds go to Denver based "Water For People", an organization that helps people get water in 3rd world countries. DiVita lived in Colorado for 15 years and is well aware of the water issues here in her favorite state. Fights over the Arkansas river, the reduced levels of Dillon Reservoir (which are very low right now), and water restriction issues make for the need of water awareness by all residents, not just those in the water sector. The lead female character in the film will be in attendance as well as DiVita, who will briefly speak about the movie's new water adventure. Doors open at 6:30, the movie starts at 7:00. Tickets are $8 and although DiVita was trying to get a promotion with a local restaurant, for those who support this benefit, time was too short. Maybe next time... End
