Toronto Hosts First Ambulatory Care ConferenceThe Canadian Association of Ambulatory Care(CAAC) announces its first conference on ambulatory care medicine to be held on September 24, 2012 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

The Conference Agenda The day-long conference has organized opportunities for networking as well as sessions focusing on both specific medical issues and care delivery issues. Session topics include "The Role of the Nurse Practitioner in Ambulatory Care" and "Fetal Heart Rate Detection For Ambulatory Care Monitoring." The conference has 15 different speaker sessions, six of which are concurrent sessions. The conference agenda also includes an hour-long poster presentations and networking opportunity after lunch. In addition to the keynote speech by Dr. Charles, other scheduled speakers include: Dr. Nancy Durand, assistant professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Toronto. Shana Taylor, RN, BScN, MN:ANP, NP. Dr. Graham Slaughter, MD, RCPS. Trish Lospinuso, a patient experience advisor in the Office of the Patient Experience at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. Who Should Attend the Conference The CAAC conference is intended for people from the full spectrum of roles involved in ambulatory health care in all its settings.
