Yesteryears of Henry M. King: Recollections and Poems relates how Henry was born in India in 1911. Until he left the country in 1947, he lived in the British Military Zone. The British influence was strong, and the Indians with whom Henry came in contact were a source and inspiration for many of his stories and writings. With rich and colorful detail, he recounted his days as a boarder at Lawrence College in Ghora Gali, as well as many other experiences that touched his life during historic times.
During Henry’s intriguing years in India, his keen and insightful look at a country in transition makes for fascinating reading, showing a side of India you have never before seen. Yesteryears has much to say to today’s readers.

About the Author : Philip L. Carroll grew up in India, England and Australia. He currently resides near Albury, NSW, Australia. With this book, he hopes to bring his uncle's writings to a wider audience. He is in the process of publishing a book of his own poems which will be available soon and is also working on a screenplay based on several of his poems.
