Each of the Disconnecting String Combiners (DISCOM 3R and DISCOM 4) has a UL98B load-break rated switch at the core of the combiner that is capable of safely shutting down the DC homerun circuits, even at full power. The Disconnecting String Combiners are available with 4 to 30 input circuits and are available in NEMA 3R, 4, and 4X enclosures. DISCOM builds on Solectria Renewables’ successful STRCOM product line, proven to perform in the harshest conditions, by providing additional surge suppression, high-reliability compression connection option, live part protection and more space for conduit entry.

During this presentation, Mr. Johnson will share insights discovered during the research and development of a smart string combiner system built on the DISCOM design platform.
