Progressive Transport Operator Program Fulfills Industry Demand

Sept. 12, 2012 - PRLog -- triOS College Business Technology Healthcare partners with the Ontario Truck Training Academy (OTTA) to launch Professional Transport Operator, the most advanced truck training program in Ontario.  The program combines comprehensive Supply Chain and Logistics education from triOS College with hands-on Tractor-Trailer operations from OTTA.  Graduates will be in high demand as the need is growing for Tractor-Trailer Operators that have a solid understanding of the supply chain industry.

Highlights of the program include a four-month internship with leading-edge transportation companies, 50 hours of one-on-one in-cab instruction, a Truck Training Schools Association of Ontario Diploma, training on 3D simulators, air brake training and a Commercial Driver Improvement (Defensive Driving) Course Certificate. Classes begin this October in Brampton and December in Oshawa,  with plans to launch the program across several triOS Ontario campuses.

Placement rates are expected to be high for this program due to the current success of the triOS College Supply Chain program.  Graduates of the program have gone to work for reputable companies such as Ryder Canada, Smurfit MBI, Day & Ross Transportation Group, Maple Leaf Foods, Laidlaw Carriers and others.
