This included an introductory session by Bhavish Sood, Research Director at Gartner. He spoke about “How Mobile Applications Change the way your customers do business”. It was a very informative & interactive session to kick-start the day.
Jimmy Stead, Senior VP, Frost Bank delivered an informative session on agile development and its importance in today’s scenarios. He shared their findings on the agile development process Frost Bank is following for building the next generation of mobile banking solutions. This session also touched upon the challenges of agile methodology and co-location benefits. Jimmy also stressed on the fact how Endeavour has played a key role in making this a reality at Frost Bank.
Mike Russell, Agile & Business Transformation Expert, delivered another informative session on agile development. He stressed on the fact that Agile is need of the hour not just from the project implementation perspective but from the business perspective. It is a must to have continuous feedback system in place in the business to ensure agile transformation. He also discussed aspects such as project costing, and budgeting while doing agile implementation.
Another agenda of this event included a discussion on Trends in Mobility by Avinash Birnale, Chief Mobile Technologist at Endeavour. He spoke about Mobile operating systems, platforms and trends in adoption. He also shared lessons and best practices for building enterprise grade solutions with top class security. He shared various challenges, approaches and strategies for building the best testing teams for agile and non-agile projects. Finally, he spent some time on MEAPs, MDMs and concluded with his predictions on the path ahead for mobility.
This event orchestrated by Endeavour brought together industry leaders across various verticals to discuss the evolving landscape of mobility, how these advancements in mobility will impact the various verticals, and what would be the changes expected in the industry landscape in the coming years. This has indeed created a platform to share experiences and learn across verticals.
