LaVan Named New Leader of the New Jersey Bar

PRLog (Press Release) - Sep. 11, 2012 - Moorestown, NJ - - LaVan Law managing partner Julie A. LaVan, Esq. was recently named a “New Leader of the Bar” by the New Jersey Law Journal along with a prestigious group of statewide legal colleagues.

The professional recognition is emblematic of the next wave of leadership of the New Jersey bar based upon successfully developing a practice niche, amassing a strong book of business, demonstrated leadership qualities, showing expertise in litigation or transactional work, and a commitment to pro bono, charitable and professional volunteer work.
   
LaVan, a Moorestown resident, concentrates her practice in the representation of small-to-medium-sized businesses and corporations across a wide range of industries, including corporate and commercial real estate, environmental, and labor and employment issues.

In addition to the transactional services LaVan provides to her clients, she also engages in a commercial litigation practice in which she represents business owners and employers in the defense of business disputes and employment claims.

LaVan publishes and speaks frequently for professional groups on a breadth of business, employment, and construction law topics.

She serves as a board member of the Associated Builders and Contractors – New Jersey and chairs its Educations, Safety and Marketing Committee; is a member of Society of Women Environmental Professionals; Burlington County Bar Association (Vice Chair of the Civil Practice Section, Bench & Bar Committee); Chamber of Commerce of Southern Jersey; New Jersey State Bar Association, and serves on the Boards of Trustees of the Perkins Center for the Arts and the Moorestown Community House.
