KATATU Winner Best New Products 2012 From DR. TOY -Curtlin Toys and Games

PRLog (Press Release) - Sep. 11, 2012 - KATATU has won the Best Picks New Products Award from Dr. Toy for 2012.  Earlier this year KATATU had won Game of the Year 2012 from Creative Toy Awards and also was just recognized by the National Parenting Center Seal of Approval for 2012.  KATATU is a unique startegy game that takes it roots from a 3000 year old game that was played originally in the sand with peebles and was tought to the sons by their fathers as a form of understanding startegy and game play.  Rich in history, this startegy game took on many different forms as it gained popularity and moved down and across Italy into Egypt and eventually made its way to Southern Africa.  KATATU is adapted from this ancient game and has never before been available in a packaged game form  to the Western part of the World until now.

KATATU means 'three' in Countries in Southern Africa such a Namibia.  The goal of the game it to form KATATU mills (three-in-a-row) and by doing so you can eliminate one of your opponents game pieces.  The first person to eliminate their opponents 'bugs' (Bees or Grasshoppers) through the three phases of the game wins!  The three phases are place, slide and fly and the game literally picks up where 'tic-tac-toe' leaves off from a strategy game play point of view.
