From humble beginnings as a single Hereford cattle show in 1899, the American Royal has grown into a non-profit organization that features numerous horse shows, live entertainment, cooking demonstrations, a BBQ exposition, children’s activities, a livestock auction, a rodeo and more each year in Kansas City. Now in its 63rd year, the three-day ProRodeo event itself will feature a variety of skill competitions, including bareback riding, steer wrestling, team roping, saddle bronc riding, tie-down roping, barrel racing and bull riding.
