Produced by Steven Stanulis and Marek Schwedt this Off-Broadway play draws on the producer’s real-life experiences as an exotic dancer. Stripped The Play adventures into the lives of five male strippers living and working in New York: the secrets they keep, the lives they lead and comedic vulnerability of the male ego.

Insightful and entertaining, the one act, dramatic, version of a male revue combines modern music, elaborate choreographies and hilarious, eyebrow-raising, improvisation that appeals to women and men alike with shocking and hilarious performances that aim to bring the audience to tears of laughter.

Stripped, The Play puts Chippendale’s “eye candy” in a different light; bringing depth and humanity to the stereotypical male stripper by baring the souls of five lovably awkward characters as they bare their bodies. Stripped The Play, promises to surprise audiences in the Off-Broadway scene in New York.

Critics say Stripped The Play, “is an acerbic and hilarious look at the world of male strippers”. The New York Times reported the real-life foundation for the off broadway play  in the editorials “The Stripper in a Police Uniform? He’s for Real” and “Officer by Day, Stripper by Night”. Fans of the show claim that “the writing was truly worth every second”.

Geoffrey Cantor is a magna cum laude graduate of Amherst College with a degree in theater and a working actor/director, who has participated in over 8 plays on and off Broadway, appeared in over 200 commercials and as a guest star or recurring role in numerous TV shows including The Sopranos, Law & Order and All My Children and with film credits in MIB3, Man on a Ledge, Fair Game, etc. Steven Stanulis is a former police officer turned producer, performer, writer and director his TV and Film Credits include The Sopranos, Gangs of New York, I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry, Long Shot Louie and Dark Room and  he currently hosts his own radio show “In The Life” on Sirius Radio.
