Flagler Beach, FL – Blue at the Topaz is closing for approximately two weeks to remodel and launch a new menu.
The building is one of the oldest in the county. “We have been open since 2002,” says owner Kelli O’Reilly, “This will be the first time we’ve ever closed the doors for this length of time,” she adds.
The restaurant will be adding some new menu items and changing up some of the current ones. For example, they will offer a gluten-free lasagna, beef braised short ribs and seafood paella. Blue will also introduce a new feature to the menu, a weekly “Blue Plate Special” featuring a specially priced dish that is not on the regular menu every Monday through Thursday night.
They will also re-tile the kitchen, remodel the bathrooms, and paint the entire restaurant.
Blue closed on September 8th, and will re-open on September 24th.
Blue at the Topaz offers outdoor dining on a Victorian wrap around porch, an experience guests won’t soon forget. Most of the staff has been at Blue since the beginning, which is unique. They have the most unique special event banquet room you will find in this area. It’s a mini-museum with memorabilia from the 19th and 20th centuries. There is an antique toys, historic train sets, and photos of the Topaz Hotel from its humble beginnings when nothing else surrounded it on the beach.
This beachfront oasis is the perfect place to host a family reunion or meet for a business lunch. Relax with a cold beer or glass of wine as you watch the dolphins playfully swim by, or in winter you might get a real show if you spot the Right Whales migrating south.
Dining at Blue is recommended for celebrating a special day or every day. After you’ve dined at Blue, you’ll be leaving and planning your next visit all at the same time.
