Sept. 11, 2012 - PRLog -- Andrea Miller, a former EMBA student from London Business School has found great success in her independent TV production company, Sunnyside Productions. Ms Miller decided to do an EMBA because she wanted to be up to date on the commercial world and globalising economy. She said completing the course at London Business School was very beneficial to her as she was working in a revolutionizing media industry due to changes in the digital world.

Whilst studying at London Business School, she was offered a position on a leadership training course at Columbia University in New York. With her production company doing extremely well, she recently shifted her focus on developing a revolutionary e-learning course with Prof Hitendra Wadhwa which she hopes will bring education to those who aren’t able to access it, due to geographic or financial reasons. She previously worked at British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) to feature art, science and history related documentaries. Ms Miller has also worked with Jeanette Winterson and Germaine Greer to launch her own music record label. During this time she said she learned her most important lesson:  money and fame don’t bring happiness. This is a tip she wants young businessmen and women to remember.

With her success across several industries, Ms Miller stated Jane Root as her greatest business inspiration. Jane Root ran the US Discovery Channel and is currently in charge of her own TV production company, Nutopia. Andrea says that she worked for Ms Root whilst she was working at BBC and inspired Andrea to continue and excel in the media industry. According to Andrea, Jane is really skilled when it comes to bringing ideas to reality and ensuring that it leaves an impression on viewers.

There is no denying that Andrea is a high achieving and an inspiration to aspiring young businesswomen. Although she was one of 13 women (out of 77 students) on the EMBA programme, she said to just get stuck into and apply. It is a valuable course for high achieving managers, executives and entrepreneurs that are looking to enhance their leadership training skills to succeed in a globalising business world.
