ezTaxReturn.com Names Saul Shapiro Vice President for Business Development

Sept. 11, 2012 - PRLog -- ezTaxReturn.com, widely recognized as the nation’s easiest online tax preparation service, today announced that digital media industry veteran Saul Shapiro has been named Vice President for Business Development.

In his new position, Shapiro will work to build partnerships and alliances that expand ezTaxReturn’s market.  He is responsible for identifying, structuring and closing new business opportunities, benefiting strategic targets while growing ezTaxReturn’s share of the online tax preparation business.

Shapiro has broad experience in digital media, technology and policy development.  His career has included business development stints with Sony and ABC Television when digital media was first emerging.  While at Sony, he worked in corporate development identifying strategic digital media partnerships.  He served as COO of gist.com, an online guide to television and early developer of interactive services.  

He has also been involved in guiding government policy as Vice President of Business Development, overseeing media and technology sectors, at the New York City Economic Development Corp.  At the Federal Communications Commission, he managed the effort to develop policy and rules for digital TV transmission.  This led to his most recent role as President of the Metropolitan Television Alliance coordinating development of broadcast solutions for eleven New York City stations.
