The Lee Company Selects Munger To Build Large, Complex Industrial Facility

PRLog (Press Release) - Sep. 11, 2012 - Branford, CT; The Lee Company has selected Pat Munger Construction Company, Inc. to build a new facility in Westbrook, CT for its IMH Group that has outgrown its manufacturing and office space.  Industrial microhydraulics components will be produced here for high volume automotive, industrial hydraulic and medical applications.  This new environment will enable The Lee Company to satisfy growing product demand along with meeting its high standards in quality, reliability and customer service.

"This complex project is Munger's sixth major initiative for The Lee Company along with many smaller assignments during the past eight years", said Mike Cormier, Munger's Project Manager.

Munger's design/build team along with Noyes Vogt Architects and Varco Pruden created the design for this 88,450 sq. ft. facility, which will integrate a structural steel/pre-engineered steel frame that showcases open webbed trusses.  Clerestory [clearstory] windows, that introduce natural light from above along with controlled, daylight sensitive LED lighting and high R-value 4-inch foam panel insulation between roof and ceilings, will make the building energy efficient.  The building is on track for meeting an aggressive 18 month schedule.
