Third Annual Dance For the Rescues– A Zumba® Event for the Animals
A fundraiser for Peace of Mind Dog Rescue and Animal Friends Rescue Project and in support of other animal rescue groups
MONTEREY, Calif. – The 3nd Annual Dance for the Rescues – a Zumba® Event for the Animals will be held on Sunday, October 14, 2012 from 10:00am to 5:00pm at the Custom House Plaza - California State Park in Monterey. This annual fundraiser benefits local non-profit animal rescue organizations. The primary beneficiaries this year are Peace of Mind Dog Rescue (POMDR) and Animal Friends Rescue Project (AFRP).
POMDR, AFRP, Pet Friends Rescue, Valley View Ranch Equine Rescue, and other animal rescue groups will be available to share information about their organizations and to introduce you to some of their animals looking for forever loving homes. There will be food, beverage, pet related services, dancewear and accessories, and fitness/health vendors. There will also be a raffle and silent auction.
This FREE event will showcase some of the central coast’s best instructors leading Zumba® (a high energy Latin-inspired dance party), and other dance styles such as Hula and salsa. There will even be a performance by the Dance-a-Bulls, dancing dogs. The event will feature DJ Willi spinning the best in world/dance music throughout the day and Emcee Rama P. Jama.

• The Dance-a-Bulls, Premier Zumba®, Zumbatomic® (Zumba® for Kids), Salsa, Hula Instructors
• Food and Specialty Vendors/ Adoptable Animals/ Info Booths
• 10-3 Raffle
• 10- 3:30 Silent Auction
Animal Rescue Day:
The second Sunday of October is formally recognized by the Monterey County Board of Supervisors as “Animal Rescue Day” and is celebrated throughout the County with events such as Dance for the Rescues.
