Scottsdale, AZ, September 9, 2012: “Fight Ready”, Arizona’s leading Martial Arts Academy held a 90 minute self defense clinic for Girl Scouts of America Arizona troops 1330 and 262. The clinic discussed important topics like awareness, listening to your instincts, how to make noise at the first sign of danger, and several life-saving self defense techniques anyone can do. “We worked with 23 girls ages 7-14. There were moments of laughter and seriousness, but at the end everyone loved every second and wished the class had been longer. For me, there is absolutely nothing more rewarding than leaving a group of girls knowing we taught them something valuable that may one day save their lives,” says Domonique Moore, general manager of Fight Ready.
Fight Ready will be holding another clinic at Arizona State University this month. The clinic will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2012 from 12-4pm. This clinic will be more in depth and designed for adults. This self-defense training will not only teach how to physically defend against attack, but also includes personal safety tips and techniques that increase awareness and improves the ability to avoid confrontation and potential dangers.
