Registration for Leading the Links Golf Open is still open. The cost of participation is $350 and benefits the St. Barnabas Free Care Fund which in 2011 alone provided more than $5.2 million to poor and low-income patients at St. Barnabas Nursing Home, Valencia Woods at St. Barnabas and The Arbors at St. Barnabas. St. Barnabas Charities is the fundraising arm of St. Barnabas Health System and through the Free Care Fund, St. Barnabas has never turned away a patient because of their inability to pay.
Leading the Links Golf Open format is a modified Florida Scramble. Among the raffle and skill prizes golfers can participated in a “Putting with the President” contest (William V. Day, St. Barnabas Health System president and CEO). A luncheon is included at Treesdale before the tournament followed by an hors d’oeuvres awards reception after the golf open.
