April Billingsley Delivers Memorable Monologue In Indie Feature "After"

When two bus crash survivors awake to discover that they are the only people left in their small town they must form an unlikely alliance in a race to unravel the truth behind their isolation.  As strange events begin to unfold, they start to question whether the town they know so well is really what it seems.

"I had such a wonderful experience working on 'After'," the Duluth native says. "This role is actually the first thing I booked when I moved back to Atlanta from Los Angeles. I was so psyched about the role before we began shooting and was so nervous. I play a caretaker which is interesting because I have this pretty long speech where I'm talking to Ana (played by Karolina Wydra) and it's an uncomfortable yet touching moment of the film. I'm excited to see how it all works together in the finished product and am so grateful to have had the experience of working with such a talented cast and crew." Billingsley then adds "I'm sure it's going to be a fantastic film."

Written and directed by Ryan Smith, "After" stars Steven Strait ("Magic City", "Sky High") and Karolina Wydra ("Crazy, Stupid, Love", "House M.D.").  Filmed on location in Alabama, USA with visual effects by Magnetic Dreams ("Being Elmo: A Puppeteer's Journey") and soundtrack composed by Tyler Smith.

Biography
A native of Duluth, Georgia, April has been interested in acting for as long as she can remember. She studied at The Acting Center, Los Angeles and has several guest starring roles under her belt including appearances on such hit shows as "The Vampire Diaries" and "Drop Dead Diva."  Coming up she plays Brenda in the thriller "Plus One" and has been added to the cast of the horror film "The Ballad of Jimmy Hallows."  April is currently filming "The 12 Lives of Sissy Carlyle."
