"The launch of the Libertarian National Radical Campaign Committee couldn't have come at a much better time," observed Barnett. "Since we have Gary Johnson as a Libertarian Party presidential candidate on our Party's ticker and working with our vice-presidential contender Judge Jim Gray, the LP is in a position to offer voters a much better alternative to President Barack Obama now running for re-election on the Democratic ticket and Mitt Romney now running as a Republican for that same seat."
Barnett hopes that the LNRCC will review candidates running for federal office with its vetting process scheduled to commence in late 2013 up until early 2014 and late 2015 and early 2016 andwhen that presidential season is in swing. "We hope to find good candidates who will run like Dr. Ron Paul did for Congress and for the Presidency with the goal to win and deliver the message as a by-product of that win."
He also hopes that this new internal organization within the Party will set rules, by-laws, a principled platform, and goals for 2014 and 2016. "I have high expectations for this group," said Barnett. "There are no other viable options at this point other than not voting and not participating in the Party and democratic process."
At a time when Mitt Romney wants to impose his social conservatism and Barack Obama wants to impose his fiscal liberalism on the backs, hearts, souls, bodies, and minds of the American people, Barnett hopes that this new wing, working in conjunction with the Libertarian Party Radical Caucus group, will fight to restore the platform back to its purist roots but model and shape the political party to be the best alternative to the two major parties.
"After witnessing what the GOP did to the Ron Paul delegates at the Republican National Convention, the lack of specifics in Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan's speeches, their declarations of collectivism, the lack of specifics from Michelle Obama, Bill Clinton, and the President at the Democratic National Convention and their declarations of collectivism, it's obvious that the two major parties are morally, ethically, ideologically, and fiscally bankrupt," said Barnett. "It's time for Americans to fight the one-party duopoly at all costs."
LNRCC now has a Facebook group and a Facebook page for anyone who wants to join either one of them or both. "The group and page were set up to bring attention to the American people and LP members that we are serious and committed to restoring the late David Nolan's pro-Liberty spirit that has been moribund since the infamous debacle at the national party's Portland, Oregon convention in 2006," said Barnett.
The Libertarian National Radical Campaign Committee (LNRCC) was founded by Todd Andrew Barnett on September 9, 2012 within the Libertarian Party. The LP was founded in 1971 by David Nolan, is active in all 50 states, and has more than 250,000 registered voters.
Both the Libertarian Party and the LNRCC demand the end of government intervention in personal, family and business decisions, much lower government spending, repeal of dangerous and unnecessary regulations, lower taxes, a currency free of government manipulation, free trade, and a peaceful, non-interventionist foreign policy.
