The nonprofit conference is devoted to education, research, and information in tourism and hospitality, in cooperation by industry-leading organisations in travel distribution, hospitality, aviation, information technology, vocational development, and education. Under the banner “Tourism Technology and Training,” the forum will explore new technologies, training methodologies, and emerging academic issues in the tourism and hospitality fields.
"The increasing complexity of the tourism and hospitality businesses, coupled with the emergence of new technologies, makes it increasingly difficult for employers to provide training to entrants into the field," Dr. Dennis Foster, chairman of Mundus, stated. "The responsibility for preparing the future tourism workforce is largely in the hands of college and university programmes, both public and private."
Mundus is the world's largest global provider of educational sofware, textbooks, assessment tools, and teaching aids in the fields of tourism and hospitality. Academies Australasia Group Limited operates eight registered Colleges in Australia and a college in Singapore. The company is listed on the Australian Stock Exchange and has been operating for more than 103 years. Qantas, one of the strongest brands in Australia, is the official conference airline. Tardis Training, based in Sydney, is the exclusive representative in Australia for Mundus educational curricula and tools.
