Butera Explodes with World Gym Express
World Gym International is expanding faster than an angry Hulk, pumping out a dizzying number of its franchises nationally under the leadership of Manny Butera.
It has seen explosive growth in recent years. In Tennessee alone, 11 World Gym franchises have opened since 2002, bringing our national total to 250 locations
As such, the company flexes considerable clout when it comes to scoping out and negotiating terms for potential locations. “We’re looking at possibly 1000 locations globally by 2020,” said Manny Butera Chief Operation Officer of World Gym International.
“Honestly Joe Gold and I never expected the incredible growth that we are experiencing”
said CEO Mike Uretz.” Manny brought in an innovative and aggressive approach to selling, along with 18 years of successful health club operations and investors love him. When he developed the World Gym Express concept Joe thought it would never work but his attention to detail and ability to implement and execute on a plan has led to the World Gym Express concept as our fastest growing revenue stream”. “The health club business is my passion and I have been very fortunate to be a part of the World Gym Family “. Butera stepped into some huge shoes. As the legendary Joe Gold’s health declined Butera took over for Mr. Gold as the C.O.O. and has never looked back. “My goal is to grow this brand globally. I want to see World Gym mentioned in the same conversations as McDonalds, Starbucks and other incredible brads.
Nationally, World Gym International has 250 centers, having added 30 gyms in 2006. The chain’s gross revenue last year was $15 million.
