California 'Tea Party' Groups Hold Simultaneous 9-11 Memorials Statewide

Sept. 8, 2012 - PRLog -- Nearly 50 tea party groups from Sacramento to San Diego will stand with U.S. flags on street corners across California this Tuesday between 4:30 and 6:30 p.m. in remembrance of those who died on 9-11.

"This is the first time tea party groups in the Golden State will hold simultaneous 9-11 Memorials," says Karen Kenney, coordinator of the San Fernando Valley Patriots. "These are not political events, but tributes on what has become Patriot Day nationwide."

The San Fernando Valley Patriots will conduct their sidewalk memorial from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Southeast corner of Topanga Canyon and Victory Boulevards near the Crate and Barrel parking lot at 6360 Topanga Canyon Blvd., Woodland Hills, CA 91367.

The SFVP event includes participation by an engine company of the Los Angeles Fire Department and a bagpiper and drummers with a walking memorial that boast U.S. flags, military flags and 9-11 Memorial banners.

The public is invited. Parking is about 1/2 block South of the Crate and Barrel store within their parking lot. No political posters are permitted, only U.S. flags and posters that reflect family-friendly messages to honor America and those 9-11 patriots.
