Landscape Architect CEU Course Scheduled for Oct. 31 in Raleigh, N.C.

The "Green Industry Basics" lunch and learn is approved by NCBOLA for 4.0 credit hours. The training will be hosted by the Triangle Section NCASLA, sponsored by McGill Compost and presented by Ron Alexander.
 
Sept. 7, 2012 - PRLog -- North Carolina's Triangle Section of the American Society of Landscape Architects will host a CEU lunch and learn from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, October 31, 2012, at the JC Raulston Arboretum in Raleigh, N.C.

The course, "Green Industry Basics," will be presented by Ron Alexander and sponsored by McGill Compost.  It has been approved for 4.0 credit hours by the North Carolina Board of Landscape Architects (NCBOLA).  The course number is 8276.

This workshop will provide basic or refresher training for landscaping and turf management professionals, including designers and specification writers, with a focus on soil science and botany.  The goal of training is to provide a scientific foundation in proper horticultural practices and link these practices to project aesthetic and performance goals.

Topics will include soil and plant sciences, as well as a hands-on exercise in soil evaluation and review of typical products used in landscaping and turf management.  Lunch will be provided.
