My Website for details.
Chef Art Smith's transformation was highlighted on this season of Top Chef Masters. He goes into details on www.ryankparker.com

How did your eating habits change to help you become the svelte fun chef we see on Top Chef: Master Chefs?
“My eating habits have changed drastically. I don’t eat late night food anymore. I don’t drink my calories. My diet is plant based but (eat) lean protein or dairy protein… Due to my travel schedule I take healthy breakfast fixins with me. My sugar intake is lower.”

I know you have become an avid runner and incorporated running in your wedding, which I thought was a fun idea, how much exercise do you get a week and are you incorporating other exercise besides running?
“Exercise is one hour a day 6 days a week. When I am running I extend it. I live by a giant lake front park. Got to have pretty for motivation. Speaking of pretty and tough. My trainers Az Ferguson, Aussie International Champ of Body For Life is my weight loss strategist & running coach. We successfully ran The Chicago Marathon and The Marine Corp Marathon three weeks apart. Joey Thurman is my Chicago base trainer and boxing coach. I want to do a match with a chef.”
(Well Chef, I am not a boxer but I will accept the challenge if we can raise money for commonthreads.org? Maybe Bravo will do a Top Chef “battle royale edition.”)
